Presentation
Just finishing of putting together our presentation and practicing it to make sure we stick to our 10 minutes :P
Its been an amazing journey and thank you to our Community Group and Mentors for all they have done!
We have learnt so much through out this challenge and hope that our community group benefits from what we have done for them!

Website Finished
After a very long week and a longer weekend our website it finally finished… http://www.ced.org.nz/
Everything is almost done! Heading to the prints to get everything printed for the presentation tomorrow! Exciting!

Working
Just been steadily working on the CED project since our last blog… Putting all the final touches on this weekend! Its been a long road and good to see the final outcomes!! Very satisfying! :-)

Meeting with Di!!!
Today we met up with Di to finalise aspects of our assignment! We mainly needed to go over the website related stuff like purchasing the web address “www.ced.org.nz” and sorting out the hosting!
As we have completed and had the new logo all approved from the CED community we were able to chose with our client a Business Card and Letterhead from our concepts!

Facebook + Twitter
We have set up accounts for both facebook + twitter for Community Economic Development! We had some problems because of the length of the name and had to shorten it to CED in some places! We just need to go over them with our client and check all the content :-)
New video!
Spent the day yesterday as a group working on the CED project and also creating our video! We got heaps done and are really pressing forward in the project! It is good to know our video is all ready to be uploaded tomorrow! :-)
Meeting with Di
We met with Di on friday to make a final decision on the logo and web style!
The meeting went really well and we made some good progress! We have chosen a log-o and now are beginning to make up templates and web layouts!
News Tutorial
We went to the journalism seminar last night by yMedia! It was really interesting to see a different side of promoting our company! It was a great lecture and had some really fun activities!
Meeting with mentors!!
Last night we caught up with our mentors to check in and get help with any issues or questions we had.. It was great to check in with them and helpful to get their help on what to do next! We are now waiting on some decisions and are trying to look at more technical aspects while we wait. :-)

Writing our proposal
Tonight we have a team meeting to work on creating our proposal. We have a final document with out text which we have sent to our mentors for feedback.
We are creating our video now for hand-in on friday.
We are also busy working on logo concepts which our client has requested.
Matt's meeting with Di
Last Thursday Matt met with Di on behalf of the team to show her our ideas and to finalise our proposal.
It helped us clarify what she wants from us and also helped us narrow down our ideas.
This also gave Di something to take away and discuss with her company and has allowed her to get back to us with some final decisions on logo, hosting and company identity.
#06 - Lateral thinking & assessing ideas
Last wednesday we attended this workshop! It helped us think outside the box for what kind of ways we can create solutions for out client.
It taught us important skills on how to brainstorm collectively, to then come up with more ideas that are stronger and more achievable.
It was really good to see what some of the other teams are doing, how the are approaching their problems and what ideas...
Meeting with mentors (Kurt + Adam!!)
Last wednesday we met with our mentors to look at where we are with our project.
It was great to get professional feedback on the best way to achieve our clients objectives.
They also gave us great advice on how to communicate with out client in relation to presenting ideas in a way that makes it easy for the client to understand.

Concepts
Just spending the day working on a site map and site content and researching styles for our website. We hope to have a few solid concepts by this evening!
We are also starting to research ideas for branding. We want to look at different styles and approaches now, even though we can not start with concepts due to not having the definite identity.

BACKGROUND:
In February 2010 Di co-hosted the Community Economic Development Conference (CED) in Auckland. This conference was the first of its kind in New Zealand. Working on the video brief.
Our mentors responded today with advice, changes and improvements for our brief. It was really helpful and made a more solid foundation for us to work on.
We have just spent the evening taking pictures of our video brief, its all come together really excitingly…
We just have a few more touches to put on our video tomorrow and the ready to upload… :)

Meeting Client
On friday evening we met up with our client in Starbucks, Ponsonby! She explained to us about her company and what she is hoping to get from us! It helped us to understand more about the company and how we can create a sustainable solution for her company. We have more of an understanding about how we can use web to create a network for people who attended the CED conference.

Group Meeting
We had a group meeting on Thursday night to sort out our team and discuss what we had gathered so far before meeting with our client! We created a mindmap, google-wave and looked at how we were going to document our video brief.
Beginning
Had our first team meeting last night! Met our mentor which was really awesome! Our business couldn’t make it but from what we have heard the company sounds like it has a lot of potential and we have already come up with lots of ideas!
